Alireza Khosroabadi is an Iranian theater-maker, interdisciplinary artist, and performer based in Vienna. His work explores the liminal spaces between performance and theatre through movement, choreographic practice, and embodied language. Originally from Iran, he has presented his work internationally, with exhibitions in Germany, Italy, and France, and performances in Vienna, where he is currently based.
His artistic journey began before his Master’s studies in Theatre Directing at the Art University of Tehran, within a theater center at his bachelor’s university. His projects range from devised performances and theatre works addressing socio-political issues, such as immigration, femicide, and family, to everyday life scores. Over time, his practice has focused on re-contextualizing theatre as a shared space for a concentrated live thinking process through images.
